Situated near the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse bird species. It also offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscapes.

Unusual Tree Climbing Lions, Vast Elephant herds, Flamingos, Lake Manyara, Over 400 Bird Species, Giraffe, Large cape Buffalos, Wildbeests, Zebras, Hyenas, Cheetahs, Hippos, Bushbucks, Klipspringers, Gazelles, Warthogs, Antelopes and Leopards occasionally seen.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
The dry season of July to October is the best time for watching game that comes to Manyara from other ranges as water sources dry up, to crowd around fresh waterholes with less cover for camouflage.

There are Park bandas to stay as well as Public and Special campsites, luxury lodge and seasonal tented camps. Plenty of accommodations just outside the park nearby.

By Road, from Arusha is about 2hrs drive (126km on a tarmac road to the get) Air : Chartered plane is available which will get you to small airport on the edge of Rift Valley above Manyara
